Axtell High School, looking to the future, desires to prepare its students
for active participation in the twenty-first century. We as educators
feel that it is the duty of the educational system to promote the
realization of every student’s potential.
Believing that
education does not end with graduation, it is necessary to develop
life-long learning skills. Axtell High School will teach a core curriculum
consisting of English language arts, mathematics, social studies,
science, health, fine arts, vocational education, physical education,
and computer literacy. Principles of citizenship, economic
responsibility, and understanding of our American heritage are
recognized as important factors and will be emphasized at all levels.
Students will also be provided reasoning--thus enhancing their survival
in a world that revolves on communication.
Our overall objective
is to assure that every student is given the opportunity to attain the
maximum level of his or her ability.
